I absolutely love looking at celebrity makeup at award shows and events. I’m always curious to see what they will step out in, considering their big bank accounts. I found, watching the show, and looking at photos, the women either looked fabulous, or hideous! Thankfully, as a whole, the fabulous outweighed the hideous. There were many looks to choose from, I decided to choose my two favorite looks and my two least favorite looks.
Adele
What can I say about her? She is so AMAZING! She is beautiful, she embraces her curves. She has the most amazing voice. I know a lot of people hated her dress from last night, but to me, as a package, she is exquisite.
Her makeup was incredible. She did the heavy eyeliner, false lashes and the light smoky eye shadow. She finished if off with a beautiful nude lip and natural blush. She let all the attention go to those gorgeous peepers! She is FLAWLESS. My favorite face of the night.
Carrie Underwood
Carrie Underwood is just a beautiful girl. She has really blossomed since her American Idol days. One thing I have noticed about her, is that she has always kept it real. She has always seemed level-headed, and true to herself. Not common in the music scene these days. I’m not a huge fan of country music, but I do appreciate that about her.
Her Grammy’s makeup was truly beautiful. I must have a thing for bold false lashes and liner, because once again, I love how she did her eyes. She called all attention upwards to her gorgeous peepers. She let them do all the talking. On her lips she has a very sheer nude gloss, and on her cheeks a soft pink blush. She looks flawless. Soft and bad-ass at the same time. Love it!
Now for the ones I didn’t like so much.
Guiliana Rancic
I’m sorry, I may offend some people with this, because I know Guiliana has been through a lot and I am sorry about that. I just can’t help it, when I look at her and her make up from the Grammy’s, I just think, OOMPA LOOMPA. I’m really sorry, it’s just awful. She looks orange, too much fake tanner. Her blush just enhances the orange look. Her eyes aren’t too bad, and her lips look great, but UGH…. just, UGH. Total bomb for me.
Estonian singer- Kerli
First of all, When I was doing this article I had no idea who this person was, so I put out a Twitter SOS to identify her. I want to thank tweeter @sharingalaugh for tracking her down for me.
I don’t know what she trying to accomplish here, but she should STOP IT. (that one was for you @Jamiebertolini) She is a really cute girl, things just went very wrong. I have to admit I LOVE the eyeliner, and the pink eye shadow and brows were kinda fun, but that stuff in between her eyes? It’s just weird. It screams out “martian” to me. Honestly, if you take out that part, I think I might like her look overall, but she just went way over the top. She did do a good job of balancing it out with the sheer lip and light blush, but holy mackerel, just don’t do that again.
As you can see, things were pretty much really really bad, or fabulous. Honestly, sometimes it just boils down to personal taste, but I think in some cases, like when a person is orange, that’s just really bad and that should be fixed asap. LOL
