(Update)Paparazzo Killed After Chasing Justin Bieber’s Ferrari

Update: The deceased had been instructed twice to leave the scene of the traffic stop. Justin Bieber was chased by paparazzi in July 2012, which led to the prophetic statement from a member of local government that a tragedy could result if these pursuits continued.
Justin Bieber released the following statement tonight: “While I was not present nor directly involved with this tragic accident, my thoughts and prayers are with the family of the victim.”
In a case of mistaken identity during a routine traffic stop by California Highway Patrol on Justin Bieber’s white Ferrari, a paparazzo was killed while attempting to snap the singer who was not in the car.
In an attempt to get pictures of Bieber, the paparazzo was following the Ferrari at the time the vehicle was pulled over at 6 PM by the CHP near Sepulveda Blvd. and Getty Center Dr. He darted across busy Sepulveda Blvd. trying to get pictures of the police interaction, but due to unsafe conditions he was advised by officers to move to a safer location. The man was subsequently struck and killed by an oncoming vehicle while running back across the highly traveled street to his car, according to law enforcement sources.
Reportedly, Bieber’s Ferrari was driven and occupied by two of his friends. Bieber was not on the scene during the traffic stop and ensuing accident.
The LAPD is investigating the accident and no arrests have been made at this time.

The extremes that paparazzi take on has to be overwhelming to these celebrities. It is sad that he lost his life while doing his job. Greater laws should be enforced!
