It would appear that Big Brother 15‘s Amanda Zuckerman has been fired from her REALTOR® position with Watermark Realty, Inc. doing business as Prudential Florida. While Amanda may partner with her mother Marilyn, according to the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation website her license has been placed in a current but inactive status. When Big Brother 15 premiered Amanda’s license status showed current and active. Zuckerman was actually employed by Prudential Florida according her REALTOR.com profile.
I reached out today to the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation, the person I spoke with stated that only the individual license or their broker of record has the ability to change a licensee’s status. The licensee must submit a request to make a license inactive, or the broker of record may notify the state that the sales associate is no longer affiliated with them. The representative also stated it takes about one week for a paper request from a licensee to be processed and their status updated, if the request is submitted on-line the license update is completed immediately. Amanda has been in the Big Brother 15 since the early days of June when the house guests were sequestered, so it’s unlikely Amanda recently requested that her license status be changed. I asked if a family member would be able to change the status of a licensee, the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation representative I spoke with said it would be highly unlikely unless they were given the licensee’s login information to access the state site which itself is a violation of e-licensing terms of service.
The only option I see for this to have happened is that the broker of record for Prudential Florida removed Amanda from their license roster with the state, which effectively terminated Amanda from her role as a sales associate with the company.
Zuckerman has recently come under fire and made national news for making racist remarks about her African-American and Asian-American competitors on camera.
“She wore my fuckin’ head band and didn’t ask,” Zuckerman said about African-American housemate Candice Stewart. “She took it off your fuckin’ head and put it on her greasy-ass, nappy-hair head.”
In another instance, Zuckerman referred to African-American contestant Howard Overby as “the black mamba” and “the dark knight.” She also referred to herself as a “fag hag” and used the term “retarded” on multiple occasions.
That brings the total of Big Brother 15 house guests terminated by their employers while in the house to three. Houseguest Spencer Clawson employer, Union Pacific, issued a press release stating that Spencer was on an unpaid leave of absence while filming the show and that were acting in accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement Terms between the company and the union.
Tell us what you think in the comments, was Big Brother 15‘s Amanda Zuckerman’s employer justified if they fired her from her REALTOR® job?
