MTV Rings in the New Year With ‘Club NYE’ Hosted by Snooki and JWOWW
MTV is bringing the nightlife experience to TVs across the country with MTV’s Club NYE 2013, airing live from Times Square on Dec. 31 at 11 p.m.
Jersey Shore stars Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi and Jenni “JWOWW” Farley, who will serve as the masters of ceremonies for the MTV broadcast this year.
“I have stage fright!” Farley tells TVFishbowl. “I’ve never hosted a live broadcast like this before, hopefully I don’t freeze or go blank on stage.” But, she adds, “I couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate.”
MTV has enlisted the help of Ne-Yo, Rita Ora, Conor Maynard, Sean Kingston and Ke$ha. The Knocks will serve as house DJ during the broadcast.
Ke$ha’s latest hit single “Die Young” had been heating up the airwaves over the last few months. In the wake of the Sandy Hook elementary school shootings earlier this month, the song is not likely to be heard.
Polizzi and Farley will be promoting the second season of their Shore spinoff (debuting Jan. 8) and will share hosting duties with fellow network personality Jeff Dye, who will plug his reality competition series Money From Strangers.
