The “Dancing With The Stars” version of diving premieres on March 19, on ABC. Previously Fox had its own diving show, “Stars in Danger, The High Dive” and it pretty much tanked in ratings. (I watched 5 minutes of it, and I was embarrassed for myself and felt my IQ drop 20 points)
ABC’s version stars such celebs as Comedian Louie Anderson, Model/Beauty Queen Katherine Webb, Child-Actor of Cosby Show fame Keshia Knight-Pulliam, Nicole Eggert from Baywatch, and Musician/Actor Drake Bell. Greg Louganis, Olympic Champion diver is serving as the mentor/trainer, and David Boudia, and Steve Foley will be judges.
Each week the stars will perform dives, that will increase in difficulty from show to show.The Goal? Impress the judges and the viewers.
I think they might impress the judges on occasion, but the viewers? Not so much.
I might tune in once to see Drake Bell in his Speedo, but you never heard me say that.
