This month, when the ball drops in Times Square, it will be the first time since the passing of the legendary Dick Clark. Clark rang in the New Year there for 40 years. The traditional countdown will be hosted by Ryan Seacrest.
A two-hour tribute to him will air prior to the festivities, hosted by Jenny McCarthy and Fergie, 8PM ET. There will be clips of the earlier parts of his career and his start with the Rockin’ Eve special in 1972.
As is tradition, each coast will have performances that night. In New York, it will be Carly Rae Jepsen, Taylor Swift and Neon Trees. West Coast will have Brandy, Flo Rida, Karmin, OneRepublic and Pitbull.
