This week’s episode starts where last week’s left off… Kenya attempting to interject herself into Phaedra and Apollo’s relationship, hoping that Phaedra would give Apollo a “pass” to be with her. No deal. Phaedra with “you can dance, model your shoes, show me your cervix, but please do not put your paws on Apollo”. Go on Phaedra!
Kenya brushes it off as Phaedra being “sensitive”. As a married woman, I take issue with that. My husband doesn’t have a pass to be with my friends nor would it be ok if one of my friends suggested that she would want a pass at him. That’s how people in real relationships feel.
Nene calls out Kenya’s relationship whether it’s real. Kenya responds in an interview that she doesn’t question Gregg and Nene’s relationship. There’s nothing to question – they’ve been all over each other since they started the trip. On the other hand, Kenya has flirted with every male passerby.
“Put some ice in your panties because it’s just not a good look for you…” Phaedra says to Kenya in her solo interview.
While waiting for Gregg to cook dinner for the group, Porsha lets Cynthia know that Kenya was shaking her butt in Peter’s crotch. Cynthia didn’t see it, but brushes it aside since they were all having fun. But you can see that Cynthia is perplexed on why she keeps touching other women’s men.
Peter pulls the men aside to let them in on his plan to surprise Cynthia with a vow renewal, using a white party as a façade. It sounds so romantic!
Everyone enjoys Gregg’s cooking while talking about the couple’s sexy time… It’s nice to see everyone having fun and no one flirting with anyone else’s husband. Walter uses this time to pull Kenya aside. Kenya oddly believes that this might be time Walter will propose. Nothing on this trip so far has even shown that they are even a couple, except they happen to stand next to each other sometimes.
Walter lets Kenya in on the surprise that Peter is planning a vow renewal. Hahaha! Walter pulling her aside and her reaction is priceless. Why did he need to pull her aside to tell her that? It could wait until that night. Makes you wonder, right? This week, Walter did a radio interview explaining his weird reactions to the various situations and Kenya responded. She’s in a shitstorm of potential legal implications!
The girls get together for a group massage outside on the beach. Gorgeous! They talk about their weddings and their visions on getting married. Nene is seriously putting Kenya on the defensive accusing her of not being in a real relationship with Walter. Kenya describes Walter as the perfect man… We now know that he’s perfect for someone else.
The girls commute together to go to the “white party”. Cynthia starts asking a bunch of questions. She seems to be the only one asking questions, which I think is making her mind spin. Peter and the guys are already on the island, waiting for Cynthia and the girls.
Peter tells Cynthia that they are renewing their vows and Cynthia is in shock – Nene plays along until it’s time for them to renew. The background is gorgeous, the people are all sweet, the vows are genuine. It’s perfect. Each couple lit a little white lantern to sail into the distance. It was so nice. Kandi’s and Kenya’s lanterns never got off the ground – is that a bad omen? Kandi thinks so.
Kenya really stays true to the lies – when will it be her turn for a wedding? When she’s in a real relationship!
That evening, all the girls (except Kandi) have drinks. Things start off nice enough – Porsha says that she was happy to see a different side of Kenya. Nene asks what happened at Porsha’s charity event to cause a rift. Porsha gives her side of the story. When Porsha asks Kenya what her side was, Kenya gets upset. Kenya never explains why she had a problem that night.
Then it all goes bad – Porsha and Kenya get into a screaming match. For the most part, the other women sat on the side out of all of the drama, until they got into each other’s faces. Porsha calls Kenya a tramp. Kenya calls Porsha a bitch. The women were not listening to each other. The other women separate Porsha and Kenya into their respective corners, while they each are riling themselves up over and over again. Until Porsha walks back over to Kenya and Kenya puts her hands in Porsha’s face. Then all hell breaks loose! Fighting words flying to each other. Kenya goes from “ghetto” to “gheddo” in 1.2 seconds! She storms out “Gone with the Wind” fabulous!
