In the promo below, released November 30th, (I know I’m late. I’m sorry and it won’t happen again) it looks as though Hannah (Lena Dunham) and Adam (Adam Driver), have called it quits but Adam wants her back & he has strange (hilarious) ways of going about it (Hello sociopathic stalker!). It seems Shoshanna (Zosia Mamet) and Ray (Alexander Karpovksy) are dating. I guess once you’ve been someone’s crack spirit guide the logical next step is to date that person. I hope this leads to a bigger role for Mamet, who in my opinion stole the show in episode 7 “Welcome to Bushwick/The Crackcident.” She ran away from Ray while high on crack with no pants and then beat the crap out of him. If that doesn’t deserve a bigger role, I don’t know what does.
Marnie (Allison Williams) looks a bit lonely without her ex Charlie (Christopher Abbot). Remember last season when Marnie broke up with Charlie in the middle of having some sexy times? Awwwwkward. It’s been confirmed that Abbot returns for season 2. Any chance he and Marnie will get back together and have more awkward sex? (Yes, Please!) And finally, there’s Jessa (Jemima Kirke) who appears to be still married and happily so to Thomas-John (Chris O’Dowd) even though they had only known each other for a short time before getting married. Could all this happiness lead to less awkward situations in the upcoming season? Doubtful.
The Emmy nominated Girls premieres Sunday, January 13th at 9/8c on HBO. In the meantime, if you haven’t seen season 1 of “Girls” the complete first season hits stores Tuesday, December 11th. You can watch all 10 episodes on HBOGo, if you have an account or Netflix via DVD. At this time, Girls isn’t available through online streaming.
Don’t like any of those options? Have no fear my dears. I will be back soon with recaps and everything you need to know about Girls before the season 2 premiere. Will you be watching Girls? “All adventurous women do.”
