Poor Saul. He’s realizing that his faith in Carrie is costing him his job and trust within the government. He doesn’t hold back and I like the way he takes his issues to the person in particular. He finds Dar Adul to get the answers he wants about Peter. Quinn is one of Adul’s ‘soldiers’. “Soldiers kill,” says Saul. He asks Estes again why Peter is still there. Is he an insurance policy to keep the drone strike that killed Isa and other children from going public? “Fuck you, Saul, fuck you.” Saul takes off at hearing about Carrie’s accident and Estes tells Peter, “He knows.”
Abu Nazir shoots Brody a video call of Carrie, bound and gagged. I don’t know why I laughed. Maybe the absurdity of Jessica and family being right there, Mike lingering in the air and on Jessica. Brody’s facial reactions. Nazir wants Brody to pay for his betrayal and it’s basically another Walker hit on Holden, just more hands off. Do it or Carrie dies. 
Saul finds Carrie’s phone at the accident scene. He thinks she’s the bargaining chip to get Nazir out of the country. Saul calls Brody, en route to the Walden’s since he was the last number called, so what did she say? He hesitates. She told him it was time to resign from Congress and tell Walden that he wouldn’t be a good Veep candidate due to family reasons. Secret Service lady listens, but I can’t read her face.
Virgil, Saul and Peter look at convenience store footage that puts Nazir near the crash site. Carrie’s not in good hands. Protection for personnel hunting the most wanted terrorist is really lacking, especially in her tenuous status with the CIA.
Nazir tries to get Carrie to drink water. “This is what you did to Brody. A lot of pain, a little love.” Nazir is confident Brody will complete the mission, but Carrie said she’ll be killed either way. Nazir says their love for Brody gives them something in common.
Carrie stands her ground. He is a terrorist. So they both love Brody and I don’t get it. Brody is one stone cold liar and killer. However, Brody proves his love to Carrie and Nazir by accomplishing the task and ensuring her safety.
Now the viewers who still are on the fence about Holden get to jump off when Brody goes into his canned speech about why he can’t be the next Veep. “Fuck your family.” Walden’s heart starts the pre-planned demise. Brody coldly moves the phone so he can’t call the doctor. “I’m killing you.” Brody whispers as he lays a dead Walden on the ground.
Carrie manages to get a truckers cell phone and calls Saul to tell him where she was held. Saul tells her not to go back to Nazir. Estes and Peter exchange a look and make a call. Saul is stopped at the door by some security types. Someone upstairs wants to see him. Poor Saul.
