The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast member Joyce Giraud was attacked by a fan of the show on Twitter.
Apparently the fan has an issue with Joyce’s tagline “In Beverly Hills, they say you can never be too young, too thin, or too rich” during the opening credits of the show. The fan claims that the tagline is tantamount to Joyce supporting eating disorders such as bulimia and anorexia.
Joyce responded to the tweet by releasing her private DM response. I’ve never seen a Housewife on any franchise do this!
This isn’t the first time Joyce has come under fire for her tagline. Joyce has claimed that she had no choice over her tagline while other Housewives claim that’s simply not true. When called out by others, Joyce claimed to have recorded several taglines and that she asked the producers not to use the one currently used during the shows opening.
If Joyce didn’t like the tagline why did she read the it? “They give you all these taglines, and you take them, and then they pick,” Joyce said. “Here I am as a newbie, playing ball and taping what you’re telling me to tape. But I’m asking you to not pick this, and you pick it.” Umm, that doesn’t answer the question! The newbie playing ball comment also shows that Joyce is willing to compromise her integrity in exchange for fame! What won’t she do to obtain the fame she thinks she deserves?
In true Joyce fashion and keeping with her storyline, she plays the bully card – “I was bullied as a young girl for these things you’re putting in my tagline: I grew up feeling ugly, feeling bad about myself for being too skinny,” Joyce explains.
I don’t know how much more of this perpetual victim I can take, Joyce is ruining the show for me.
Hey Joyce, if you didn’t like the tagline you should have never recorded it! If you would have stood by your principles then the fans of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills wouldn’t be on the attack.
