Twenty-six year old Nick Newell is an American mixed martial artist, who fights at lightweight. Nick is well-known for being a one-armed fighter, with his left arm ending just after the elbow, meaning he has no left hand and does not have most of his left forearm
Nick Newell may only have one arm, but after watching the video below, I’d say he’s definitely has a brass set of balls!
Nick’s the undefeated belt holder in the Xtreme Fighting Championship, who would kill to cross over to UFC. So why is Dana White President of the UFC, expressing reservations? According to White “It’s hard to fight with two arms, you know what I mean?” I thought discriminating against differently abled people when out the door with the passage of the American with Disabilities Act of 1990.
Nick is brutally honest in his response to Dana’s concerns:
“I’ve won by arm bar, rear naked choke, guillotine, heel hook, TKO and knockout. In 9 pro fights I have never been out struck.” If you have followed this sport, or know anything about it, you would be able to see that I’m amongst its elite. Just because I’m not in the UFC doesn’t mean I wouldn’t beat most of the guys in there.”
