So sick of the white party….Andy, the viewers are over it..K! Kim is way too gossipy sober or sedated or whatever the hell you want to call it. Kyle and Morris – really sick of you both. Don’t like Taylor but I think for once in her life she was telling the truth….Adrianne is a path liar. Paul you showed your ass for that moronic bitch – bet you really regret it now. Love Ken/Lisa/Brandi/Jennifer – the only cool peeps at this stupid copycat 1994 party. Hate Kyle’s laugh – ugh – her voice and Adrianne’s voice makes me want to cough and clear my throat. Bet Brandi’s book outsells Adrianne leave a tan on your white shit, 50 to1….Adrianne’s shoes were a flop, she ain’t no business woman. Whenever Adrianne talks or moves her face – check out the skin (or plastic) around her nostrils! Ewwww it looks like she has a poorly fitted mask on! Yikes!
I wrote the following BEFORE I read Taylor’s Bravo blog. I’m sorry but this story is about as deep as a sidewalk puddle. If you’re going to purport to report about what happens on the show at least act like you paid attention and more importantly, can see past obvious spin, Ms. Fran.
This was one of the laziest, poorly written recaps I think I have ever read.
Let’s be fair here. The Taylor-didn’t-know-where-her-daughter-was slant is despicable. The term Frankenbiting has become known to many, to those not familiar with it – Google it. Anyway it can be fairly argued that while it is true Taylor sounded tipsy on the phone, the fact is that bit about not knowing her daughter was with Kyle was manufactured drama. I am willing to match anybody’s proposed matching wager that the child-care worker Taylor has tending to Kennedy has taken Kennedy to Kyle’s house for play-dates with Portia on more than one occasion. Some when Taylor was in-town and some when she was not. That scene was definitely cut to make it seem that Taylor is clueless about Kennedy’s whereabouts/well-being when it was likely something as innocuous as a missed phone call or, more likely, an evil edit. Taylor may not always know the exact GPS location of the nanny but until someone proves otherwise, I am going to allow myself to presume she is confident of her daughter’s safety when in the care of that person.
I wrote the recap as I watched the show. I read Taylors recap much later..and I do in fact believe her explanation. There was no spin and I am not sure why you are so angry at this little recap I do.
I am not reporting, I do a recap of what I watch, I pretty much follow the show and type what I say out loud to TV..Clearly I am not a professional writer lol.

Methinks thou doth protest too much, Ms. Fran. People may not come here looking for the next Harper Lee but they are, at the very least, looking for (and entitled to) a concise recap. I thought the idea of this site was to attract readers not repel them.
“Slang” is one thing. Gobbledygook is quite another which is what your recap was. Your slap-dash, practically incomprehensible article read like a WWII morse code sent from the front.
It should not go unnoticed that your snide observation about not being here to write the “great American novel” showed just how little respect you have for the written word not to mention the website you represent. One has to wonder if Ed. B is as proud of your poor prose as you are or of your unapologetic embrace of your own mediocrity.

I co-sign with the brilliant Ms. Wheels. This recap is horribly written; it’s nearly illiterate and there is no effort to use punctuation, capitalization of spelling. There are random phrases I cannot follow.
I do not mean to come across as nasty, but I love this site because of the refreshing breadth of coverage. It is obvious to me that Ed has high standards, and this recap should be scrapped. Ed, if you do need more writers, I must nominate Helen. Her writing is riveting.

It’s difficult, Fran. I hate hurting anyone’s feelings. I am not wired that way. I believe the style you are going for is very informal, very conversational. This works! What I would want you to do (and this is the editor in me) is the following:
A: Flesh out your observations more. Don’t be afraid to use fuller sentences. With informal writing, you can certainly use phrases to emphasize both your point and the mood!
B: Be mindful of: capitalization, punctuation and spelling.
C: Totally enjoy the whole shebang. When the writer is having fun and enjoying himself/herself, it really does translate.
D: Put the written piece away for a little while. Save it, do other things and come back to reread it with fresh eyes. By doing so, you may want to axe a sentence, or add something you forgot. You also can then look at it critically for spelling, etc.
No, it is not the Great American Novel, but this is a professional site that is drawing more and more readers who want and expect a certain professionalism. Fran, the occasional misspelling, etc. is no big deal. I’m here to tell you that. It happens. But, taking your time to perfect it shows that you care about your own standards and that you care about your readers’ experience.
Again, I honestly did not want to hurt your feelings and if my words above did that, I am so sorry.

to heart. I am not a writer, I am the first to admit that. I do informal recap..and yes I know this is an amazing site..I told them when asked to recap, I was one who used slang etc. TVfishbowl has been very supportive of me and way I do recap.
I will however take your advice in spirit in which it was given

Fran, you go girlfriend! I enjoy the heck out of your writing style because I get it. It is refreshing and I always know that when I come to your recap I will get an opportunity to enjoy a great chuckle which just lifts my spirits.
I have a total visualization when I read your recaps of you sitting in front of the television talking to the screen as the show moves along. Your entire conversation is being recorded and then uploaded directly to this blog without editing destroying the humor of what you are doing. I for one enjoy the heck out of it and hope that you don’t change your style for a second.
For me the beauty of TVFishBowl is variety with a broad range of styles and topics. When I come to this site I always know I will not be bored and when I have the opportunity to enjoy a good chuckle and be entertained….well then I like that even more.
Seems to me that if your critics want a job writing for TVFishBowl it would be a lot classier to just ask for a writing gig rather than attacking you in the hopes that Ed cans you for them. Talk about transparent motives, the writing on the wall as they say is crystal clear to any simpleton walking by.
Fran I hope you don’t change a thing, as I look forward to coming back here next week for another good laugh and perfect visual of you sitting on the edge of your seat and allowing us to “see” your reaction to all the drama scripted by Bravo.
