“What Would Ryan Lochte Do?” … Unfortunately the answer to this question is a reality show, and not “me.” I kid, I kid!
E! announced that Olympic gold-medalist swimmer Ryan Lochte will join the likes of Ice-T, Coco-T, and the Kardashians with his own 6 episode docu-series debuting in April 2013. The show will follow Lochte partying it up in Gainesville, FL, training and preparing for the 2016 Olympics in Rio, building his fashion line and showing off his collection of over 150 pairs of shoes. The show will also feature members of close-knit family and friends including his mother who famously said “He goes out on one-night stands,” during a Today Show interview. She later clarified that what she meant to say is he goes out on dates. I’m sure he does.
“Ryan Lochte captured everyone’s attention at the Summer Olympics with his athletic prowess and his utterly unique and unaffected approach to life,” E! Entertainment President Suzanne Kolb said in a statement on Monday. “He is an incredibly endearing personality who is sexy, entertaining and fun. Watching this show, I believe people will fall into three categories: They want to be him, sleep with him or mother him.”
Ryan took to his twitter to say he’s “Excited for you all to see!” You can follow him on twitter @RyanLochte.
After the London Olympics it was rumored that Lochte would become the next Bachelor for ABC’s long running show but that went to Sean Lowe. I think this show is better suited for him (and me!).
As soon as an exact premier date is set, I will let you guys know. Speaking of dates, the cameras will join the grill-wearing Olympian on his quest for love and finding “the right girl.” Hey Ryan, if by some chance you’re reading this, look no further. I AM HERE. I have no shame, people. If you follow me on twitter, you already know this.
Will you be watching What Would Ryan Lochte Do? “JEAH” you will!
