Happy New Years Eve! nene and kenya lunch

Nene and Kenya meet up and Nene dives right into Kenya and Walter’s personal relationship. Nene digs into what Kenya thought was going on in the relationship because Nene is sure that Walter is not that into Kenya.

Porsha invites Cynthia and Kandi over for drinks and desserts. The spread is humongous for just the three of them – at least two full cakes/pies. Then we see Porsha trying to count again – not knowing how many bedrooms she had. Porsha lets the girls know about eating yams to produce multiples. Kandi is of course suspicious and tells Porsha to try it out first. Kandi lets us know that she’s now considering having two more children.

Phaedra and Apollo meet with Kenya to find out more about Kenya producing the Donkey Booty video. This is the first time that Kenya really sounds like she knows what she’s talking about… and Phaedra doesn’t. I can’t believe that Phaedra and Apollo haven’t discussed this video since their last meeting at the go-karting place. I’m with Kenya – my time is valuable. No name, no budget, no outline of a script. The two start arguing over concept. Oddly, the conversation yet again turns to Phaedra and Apollo’s sexual relationship. Considering she remarked on their unprofessionalism, I’m certain Phaedra and Apollo’s bedroom role playing isn’t part of a professional conversation.

Cynthia and Peter go shopping looks like at a liquor store. They find out about a rumor that Phaedra and Apollo are headed for divorce. Cynthia says the only thing she knows about Apollo is that he spends a lot of time in strip clubs. Peter responds by saying that going to strip clubs aren’t cheating; it’s like going to your office. And ended up confessing that he went to the strip club night before last. Surprised the heck out of Cynthia. She covers her reaction by saying she doesn’t have a problem with him going, as long as it’s not often and offers to go to one with him.

Kenya’s been avoiding Walter since Anguilla, so she finally meets up with him – two days later. She sits down with Walter (in his work shirt clearly displaying the logo!) and lets him know everything on her mind. I don’t think he was aggressive in Anguilla, but I was never abused to make that determination, I guess. Why would someone want to be in a relationship where you have to tiptoe around your feelings to make sure that you are never seeming – to them – aggressive.

Walter says that he loves Kenya… but at over 40 years old, doesn’t that mean marriage? Walter says no. So, Kenya should say “goodbye”. But that wouldn’t make for interesting television would it? Wait, does Kenya even have a story line outside of the constant disagreement with Walter over whether they are getting married?

Phaedra invites her Pastor over to bless Kandi’s house – very sweet. Phaedra gently encourages an upcoming wedding between Todd and Kandi. Phaedra then spills her tea about what it’s like to be married – surprising the couple. The brutal honesty isn’t flattering – admitting that she would like to physically assault Apollo on occasion, sometimes daily. Being a married woman, I can see it.

Porsha and Kordell talk about the argument with Kenya, saying that people are guilty before proven innocent and they need to prove their worth before he trusts them. I’m not quite sure what Kordell wants Porsha to do with the relationship… leave it, encourage it… I just know he keeps talking about it and that Porsha doesn’t owe Kenya anything.

Peter and Cynthia at Strip ClubCynthia, Peter, Apollo and Phaedra attend a strip club of Cynthia’s choosing. To say that it’s nasty is an understatement. Peter remarked that if it were Cynthia’s intention to make him never want to go to a strip club again, she did it. They spend the night getting f***-ed up and laughing at the strippers. The women don’t know how to dance and are all over the age of 40.

Apollo confesses that he doesn’t live by the “sector of the time scale”. Huh? Phaedra drinks quietly while Apollo talks about needing an outlet and enjoying a strip club on occasion, but Phaedra seems to be hiding something, but she’s not letting Cynthia know anything about her marital troubles.

Derek and Lawrence make an appearance at Peter’s Bar introducing Cynthia as the new spokesperson for PT Moscato. The entire crew, except Nene who’s in LA, show up to support! The girls sit on one side, the boys on the other.

Peter questioned Apollo about his stint in jail. He spent 16 months in a cell, one hour a day to shower and use the phone. While the girls are talking about Walter, he walks in past Kenya and straight to the boys. Walter asks where the girls are, as if he didn’t see them in the first place. He admits he’s been there for five or ten minutes before coming over to Kenya. He shakes her hand when they meet, as if they were just acquaintances.

Walter and Kenya at Bar OneThis is embarrassing for Kenya, and I guess that’s why she tried to leave, until ‘dum dum’ (per Kenya) stops her from leaving. Kenya lays it out that she was not interested in being friends with Porsha. Unfortunately, Porsha caught her at a bad time. I don’t know if Kenya would be nicer later, but after her man just came to an event and didn’t even look for her first, she was hurt already.

Peter confronts Apollo about the rumors, but Apollo is straight with them about their relationship, even though they are not heading for divorce. Cynthia does the same to Phaedra and she was also surprised. This prompts Apollo to join the ladies to see if she knows something he doesn’t. Then there’s a gratuitous kissing scene. Ick. Phaedra is definitely not following any etiquette guide.

Happy Holidays! Have a wonderful New Years Eve and Day!
