I cannot stress enough how much I absolutely love season finale week.  Not only will we get an episode on Wednesday, December 12, but we will be blessed with a two-hour season finale followed by the one-hour reunion show on Sunday, December 16.

This season has had its ups and downs; it has had more unpredictable tribal councils than any season over the past few years.  It truly is anyone’s game, and I cannot wait to watch who is rewarded the million dollar prize and the title of “Sole Survivor.”

We are currently left with the final five:  Abi, Denise, Lisa, Malcolm, and Skupin.  Abi has been viewed as the female version of Russell Hantz.  This is not because she has played a good game, because she hasn’t, but because she is probably one of the most detested, diabolical, and candid players we have ever had the privilege (or disprivilege) of watching play the game.  It is only natural that everyone would assume that she should be in the final three.  She is so hated that no one would vote for her to win, right?  Well, let’s look at the facts.  I truly believe that Abi would get Artis and Pete’s votes.  All she would have to do is convince two more people to throw their votes her way.  Abi making it to the finals would be worthy enough for her to receive votes.  She was seen as “too honest” throughout the entire game.   She came up with a brilliant plan regarding finding a false hidden immunity idol that spared her at tribal council.  Furthermore, three of her Tandang alliance members turned on her, and the other two were booted from the game.  Abi is a fighter if nothing else; this is evident from the fact that she is trying to break up the final-four alliance that Denise, Lisa, Malcolm, and Skupin currently have.  I’m not sure whether or not her plan is going to work, but I cannot wait to find out.

If past seasons are any indication, we must look beyond a final three.  There is always a chance that Survivor producers will surprise us with a final two twist.  This happened back in Micronesia when Amanda chose Parvati over Cirie.  It looks like Lisa is thinking ahead, as well.  I understand where she is coming from in regards to splitting up the powerful duo of Malcolm and Denise.  However, she has flipped on so many people already.  Does she really want to do this one final time before the finale?  I’m not sure it’s in her best interest.

There are so many different ways that finale week can play out.  Malcolm still has a hidden immunity idol, so he will definitely be in the final four.  I would love to see Malcolm win individual immunity, as well.  He would be able to use one of them to save Denise, guaranteeing that the twosome makes it into the final four together.  I do not see Skupin winning this game.  I don’t think he stands a chance with the jury.  I know I would want to go into the finals against him because it would be an easy win.  Due to the fact that he is so irrelevant, I don’t expect to see much of him over the next two episodes.

I have mixed feelings on who I want to win.  Malcolm and Denise have gone through so much.  They truly deserve a spot in the finals.  Abi, on the other hand, has really grown on me despite the fact that she is so obnoxious.  I guess we will just have to tune in on Wednesday to find out who will make it to the final four.  I will post my recap of Wednesday’s episode almost immediately after the episode airs.  Until next time . . .
