Tamra Barney in what I think is a very smart move has left the bar Wine By Wives. Tamra was originally tapped by Christopher Gravagna, the mastermind behind the celebrity wine club with her The Real Housewives of Orange County co-star Vicki Gunvalson to be the face of a new monthly celebrity wine club that gives back a portion of proceeds to a charity of the celebrity’s choice. Did the addition of stars from other ”Wives” shows portray a company on the move or a company in trouble? Some of the other “wives” involved include Tracy DiMarco of Jerseylicious, Adriana De Moura of Real Housewives of Miami, and Carla Facciolo of Mob Wives.
“Wines By Wives” is a monthly wine club for fans. Starting at a monthly price of $39.95 plus shipping & handling, you can pick your favorite “wife” and that month’s selections, chosen by her, will be shipped to your home.
In a February 15th tweet Tamra tweeted to two disgruntled bloggers (see the full exchange below):
@grandma_juice @msmissy62 @winesbywives I have stepped down. but I can get a message to the company

After taking a quick look at the Wine by Wives Facebook page (see caps below), I think Tamra made a very smart move in distancing herself from the company. While there aren’t a lot of unhappy customers there are enough to cause concern. The complaints range from failed shipments to customers continuing to be charged after they’ve canceled. The last thing you want to do when you’ve built a successful brand is to associate yourself with a brand whose message isn’t inline with your own.
Kudos to Tamra for walking away from a company that isn’t living up to its expectations and not paying employees and bloggers for their efforts.

What was Tamra bitching about when her and Vicki had their produced media fight after last season saying she worked her ass off but Vicki wasn’t doing nothing for the company? Every uses the proceeds
” going to charity” or a portion is going to charity. Fucked up to use that to sell your business.
