“Are we having fun yet?”
What else can Merle say after Michonne has eviscerated a few of his guys in just seconds?
Gov and Andrea discuss the night in the arena. She’s still shaken by brutality for fun. She wants to be a fine citizen of Woodbury and contribute as a shooter.
Rick answers the phone again to hear a man inviting him to a safe place. “Tell me how you lost your wife.” Rick doesn’t want to discuss that and the caller hangs up.

#BadConnection
Is this another bout of hallucinations like back in Atlanta? Herschel finds Rick and hobbles over. He tries to reach Rick, telling him that Lori felt bad for what happened between them and planned to tell Rick.
Merle and Neil find Michonne again. She’s a bad ass and takes on Merle. Walkers attack all of them so it’s one team, one fight for the moment. Michonne gets a bucket full of walker guts all over her after she slashed one across the gut. Graphic is good! She takes off and this leaves Merle with a dilemma. Go back to Woodbury as a failure or take option Merle: lie. He has a story all set, but Neil of the no spidey sense doesn’t want to lie. It’s lights out for him as Merle puts one between the eyes. Problem solved.
Michonne learns that walker guts are camouflage when a herd shuffles by. She makes her way to a strip mall and from her hidden position, she watches Merle have his reunion with Glenn and Maggie. It goes over like a mugging in an alley and he forces them at gunpoint into the vehicle. At this point, I’m really wishing they had just taken care of him on that Atlanta rooftop.

Andrea admits to the Governor that she liked the fights last night, but didn’t like that fact. Governor is all knowing so she’s preaching to choir. They have whiskey and flirt. Smooth Governor charms and tells her that she has ‘It.’ You made it, so enjoy it. Kiss, kiss bang and bang, they did. Just no. I was relieved to have Merle interrupt to tell his tale to the Gov. Where’s her head and sword? Never mind that, he’s got people.

Rick talks to dead Lori on the phone. More action, less of this. We get it. I was hoping it was Morgan and son calling. Rick returns to the group and holds his baby girl for the first time. He smiles as tears fall. He’s back! Daryl finds Carol and carries her in his arms. The setup for the next episode is almost complete.

Rick sees a live human in a group of walkers at the fence. Michonne.
I love that Michonne is going to get some more lines and play a larger role in the inevitable confrontation with the Woodbury crew. It’s good to see Herschel now resembling Col. Sanders because hair growth is still a thing in the ZA. Next episode appears to be tense and hopefully faster paced. Please let the next character death be Merle.
