Thanks to twitter (and segments what we understand will be prominently featured in the upcoming season of RHONJ), fans of The Real Housewives of New Jersey will see the tireless efforts of cast members like Jacqueline and Caroline gathering clothes and BLK Water for the victims of Hurricane Sandy. What is rumored NOT to be shown or discussed are the behind-the-scenes happenings at the Giudice household.
TVFishBowl has learned that the Giudice family home was fortunate during those dark days and did not lose power like many in the area. As a result, it’s being reported by neighbors that Teresa and Joe threw their doors open to everyone they knew who needed food, water and lodging. Teresa, herself, tweeted occasionally about all the food that she was preparing, but rarely mentioned for whom. Knowing children should not be exposed to the elements, the Giudice’s kept and fed children while their parents surveyed the damage and braved the conditions.
One might expect such hospitality shown to friends, right? However (in an exclusive that you will only read here), we have learned that when Teresa and Joe learned of the plight of a mother with children who had lost everything they quickly moved into action. Without hesitation, the celebrity couple quickly offered one of their rental properties to the family and even assisted in moving them in. Local police are rumored to have relied on the Giudice’s more than once for such services.
TVFishBowl has scoured the internet and Teresa’s tweets for reports on the family effort, but have found none. Why, since we have learned that crews were available for filming, did so little of this story leak out? Perhaps the great reveal of kind-heartedness will come in Season 5, but we’re not holding out breath.
